Every harp has a story, but few can rival the remarkable journey of Ivanhoe, Olivia's beautiful Lyon & Healy Style 23 Gold Concert Grand Harp.

Built in Chicago in 1977, Ivanhoe began life in the United States before travelling to New York, where he accompanied his first owner (harpist Cathy White) during postgraduate studies at the prestigious Juilliard School. During those early years, Ivanhoe performed across America, appearing at Lincoln Center (Camelot starring Richard Burton), touring extensively with chamber ensembles, and even entertaining audiences on Broadway.

His musical adventures soon placed him among extraordinary company. At an intimate private event hosted by renowned conductor Zubin Mehta at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art, Ivanhoe performed for the King and Queen of Greece alongside a guest list that included Frank Sinatra, Gregory Peck, Danny Kaye and fashion designer Oscar de la Renta.

Since moving to England in 1983, Ivanhoe has enjoyed an illustrious professional career. His rich, warm sound has been featured in recordings for Chandos and Channel Classics, including acclaimed performances of works by Debussy, Ravel and Mozart. He has appeared in concerts, broadcasts and recordings with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and Ulster Orchestra.

Ivanhoe's distinguished career has also taken him to some of the most iconic venues in Britain and beyond. He has appeared at the BBC Proms, toured internationally, and performed at prestigious locations including the Empire State Building, the Natural History Museum, the National Portrait Gallery, Lancaster House and the House of Lords.

Perhaps most impressively, Ivanhoe has provided music for members of the Royal Family, including Prince Philip, Princess Diana, King Charles III, Princess Anne, and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester. He has also performed for world leaders, diplomats and guests at countless private and corporate events.

Today, after nearly five decades of music-making at the highest level, Ivanhoe continues his journey with Olivia. Combining a remarkable heritage with a glorious concert-hall sound, he now brings elegance, warmth and a touch of history to weddings, celebrations and special events across the United Kingdom.
